Privacy policy
How Besther collects, uses, protects and manages personal information across enquiries, services, subscriptions and payments.

1. Responsible party
Besther Group (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2021/928750/07, determines why and how personal information is processed through this website and its services. Privacy enquiries may be sent to consult@besther.co.za.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the interaction, we may collect names, contact details, organisation and job information, enquiry details, subscription preferences, service records, documents supplied for professional work, transaction references, correspondence and technical information such as device, browser, IP address and website activity.
3. Why information is used
Information is used to respond to enquiries, assess and deliver services, prepare quotations, administer payments, provide reports or subscriptions, communicate service and policy updates, maintain records, prevent fraud, meet legal duties and improve our website and services. Marketing communications are sent on an appropriate legal basis and include a way to unsubscribe where required.
3A. PropertyOS records
PropertyOS may process organisation, property, applicant, tenancy, lease, payment, maintenance, communication and audit information on behalf of subscriber organisations. Access is restricted by organisation, role and property assignment. Subscriber organisations remain responsible for lawful collection instructions, appropriate notices, retention decisions and user authorisation within their workspaces.
4. Payments
Payments may be processed by Paystack or another payment provider disclosed at checkout. The payment provider processes payment credentials under its own privacy and security terms. Besther receives transaction information needed to confirm and administer the purchase but does not ordinarily receive or store complete card details.
5. Sharing information
We may share information with service providers supporting hosting, email delivery, secure payments, administration and professional delivery; with appropriately qualified practitioners or partners where the engagement requires them; with authorities where legally required; or with the customer’s consent. Providers receive only information reasonably necessary for their role.
6. Cross-border processing
Some technology providers or professional partners may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, Besther takes reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards and service providers offering suitable protection.
7. Security and retention
Besther applies reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and risk. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, contractual records, legal obligations, disputes and legitimate business records, then securely deleted or de-identified where appropriate.
8. Cookies and technical data
The website may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for security, preferences, forms and site operation. Any non-essential analytics or marketing technology will be managed in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, a person may ask whether Besther holds their information, request access or correction, object to certain processing, request deletion where appropriate, withdraw consent and complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.
10. Children and sensitive information
Customers should not provide children’s information or special personal information unless it is necessary for an authorised service and they have authority to do so. Additional safeguards may apply to such information.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when services, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date will be revised and material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
